Digital servitization refers to the utilisation of digital technologies for a company's transformation from a product-centric to a (dominantly) service-centric business model. Relevant questions that deserve further study include: What are enablers and inhibitors of such a transformation? To what extent do employees need to work differently, and to what extent do companies undergoing such transformation need to be structured and managed differently? How to convince clients and other entities to make data (e.g. operational data) available that is required for implementing the change in business model? Which changes are required in the relation with subcontractors (OEM’s and system integrators)? How are risks managed? What are the implications for collaboration and competition in the ecosystem(s) in which these companies operate?
