Research in the Port of Rotterdam

To improve and boost innovation, businesses need to more than invest in technology. Research conducted by Renée Rotmans of the Amsterdam Business School shows that businesses who make significant investments in both technology (such as R&D) as well strategic HR practices (such as employee agility in terms of skills and knowledge) are best positioned to benefit from new growth opportunities.
Renée Rotmans conducted her research in the Port of Rotterdam and successfully defended her thesis The Strategic Challenge of Human-Centered Innovation in Ports on Wednesday 14 October at the University of Amsterdam. Her thesis supervisor is Prof. Henk Volberda and her co-supervisor is Dr Rick Hollen.
