COVID-19 forces accelerated digitisation and fundamentally alters the labour market
World Economic Forum 'Future of Jobs Report 2020'

The coronavirus pandemic has forced businesses to significantly accelerate their digitisation processes. At the same time, COVID-19 is causing increased uncertainty on the labour market. Combined with increasing automation, these factors are fundamentally altering how we work.
This was just one of the findings of the World Economic Forum's (WEF) The Future of Jobs Report 2020 published on 21 October. This is an international study conducted once every 2 years that explores work-related trends and changes. The study surveys 291 major companies in 26 countries. The Amsterdam Centre for Business Innovation (ACBI) of the UvA's Amsterdam Business School, led by Prof. Henk Volberda, is a partner institute of the WEF and contributed the data compiled for the Netherlands.
